There have been some delays in the work to clear the scour valve. This was originally scheduled for July, was then postponed until August, and we now understand will take place sometime in September. We will keep everyone informed when the work is due to start. In the meantime, the reservoir continues to refill, and it is quite encouraging to see how quickly this has happened.
Over the summer, members of the RAG Committee have been visiting other sites that run sailing and fishing operations such as Llandegfedd reservoir near Pontypool, where Dwr Cymru / Welsh Water have built a new visitor and sailing centre; and Lliw reservoir, just north of Swansea, where local residents have set up a Community Trust to run the recreational facilities there.
We are hoping to send round a newsletter to RAG members in September, with further details of these schemes and other developments.
