Carl Sargeant A.M., the Minister for the Environment in the Welsh Government visited Llanishen and Lisvane reservoirs on Thursday 1st October. He was shown around by Julie Morgan A.M. and met with members of the Reservoir Action Group along with Local Councillors, Council Officers and representatives from Natural Resources Wales. Richard Cowie, Chairman of RAG, thanked him for the decision he made to turn down Western Power's Planning Application in 2013 when he was minister for Planning and Regeneration, and stressed the desire of the local Community to see the reservoirs re-opened for public access, as soon as possible. Carl said he was due to meet with Celsa in the next couple of weeks and promised to raise the issue of the reservoirs with them.
