Unfortunately, there has been no access to Lisvane reservoir for some time: to prevent disturbance to the birds and to allow the surrounding grassland SSSI to recover from the effects of excessive trampling. Natural Resources Wales, who are responsible for seeing that the SSSI remains in good condition, have been monitoring the site regularly. Although it had been hoped to open the site from 31st July, it has now been decided that it should remain closed until March 2014, when its condition will be reviewed again.
