As you may recall RAG held a Bridge Drive on 22 September 2011 in the Lisvane Memorial Hall, to raise funds for our campaign. We had the most fantastic level of support with double the number of expected people turning up to play, making a total of one hundred people who paid to play and then enjoyed afternoon tea. We had a dedicated team that made and donated sandwiches, cakes, biscuits and tea and who then served all the players. A fantastic number of prizes were donated for the raffle and in total the RAG Bridge Drive raised over £550 for the Fighting Fund. The event showed just what a community can do when it works together to fight for something they care about, not just for themselves but also for their children and grandchildren. Well done to everyone and a big thank you to everyone who came to play, our volunteers, and to Bernard Adshead for organising the event. Many thanks to everyone who made it such a hugely successful event.
