Open Garden Event - Great Success!

The Strawberries and Cream Open Garden event went extremely well, despite the weather feigning March with cold wind, rain and grey skys at best - it didn't really feel like Strawberries and Cream weather, but it did feel like Wimbledon! But as ever it did not deter the 'True Brits' and we came out in force to brave the weather and support the cause.

Garden experts and and those who are not made the most of viewing Dulcie's lovely garden, which was a paragon of tidiness and though the flowers proved shy, thanks to what seemed like interminable cold weather, before the 'Do', it still looked extremely pretty.

The home made cakes and jams were very popular indeed, together with the raffle, and home made dog biscuits. And, RAGamuffins was a real hit with loads of Spike's newsletter being picked up, so we are looking forward to a great response to the June competition.

The total money raised towards RAG's Fighting Fund was over £800 with money still coming in.

On behalf of all RAG members we thank Dulcie Wilks for opening up her garden to us all and also thank her industrious and passionate family also the RAG members who kindly gave up their time to come along and help run the event. And thank you to everyone who came along and braved the weather to make the event such a great success.
