We have just had the sad news that Ted Thurgood, our first Chairman, died at the beginning of this week. Ted had been in poor health for some time and was living in a nursing home. The eventual success of the RAG campaign was largely due to the organisation that Ted set up and his formidable skills as a campaigner. It is a great shame that he did not live to see his beloved reservoirs reopened. Ted's funeral will be at the Thornhill Crematorium Marquee on Wednesday 28th August at 09.15 am. If you are a RAG member and plan to attend, please let us know on info@LlanishenRAG.com as it would be helpful for the family to know roughly how many RAG members will be coming.
