Planning Consultation

Taylor Wimpey has produced various plans outlining the next stage of the new housing development between Lisvane and Pontprennau.  This development of 2500 homes, will occupy most of the current farmland and fields between Cyncoed and Lisvane.  Although we are resigned to this new development, which was designated for housing in the Council’s 2016 Local Development Plan, we are concerned that there should remain a significant green corridor between the boundary of Lisvane reservoir and any new housing development.  This would allow the development of routes for walking and cycling and help to retain at least a vestige of the rural nature of this part of North Cardiff.  If you share these views, or wish to make any other points about the development, please respond to the consultation (by 11th December 2018).
