Well! What can we say? Thank you to everyone who came along to talk to us at the Llanishen Community Day and thank you to our new members for joining RAG. It turned out to be an amazingly successful occasion for communicating with the widest possible audience ranging from small children who were excited to become Reservoir Rescue Heroes and join Spike the hedgehog, in his campaign to save his 'mates', through to local concerned residents and our stalwart supporter Julie Morgan AM, who very kindly announced the winner of Dulcie Wilks' (RAG's Treasurer) competition where visitors had to guess how long it will take Llanishen Reservoir to fill with rainwater. The prize everyone who entered wanted to win was a stunning flower arrangement created by Dulcie herself. The only problem with this picture, kindly taken by Richard Bosworth, is that you can't smell fabulous scent of Dulcie's home grown sweetpeas!
Although not an official RAG fundraising event, we were delighted to sell home made jam, the lovely Reservoir notelets with the total contribution towards our Fighting Fund being a further £61.00.
