Dŵr Cymru / Welsh Water had their planning application for the development at Llanishen and Lisvane reservoirs finally approved last week. Although the application was considered by the Council's Planning Committee at their meeting in mid-June, there were a number of outstanding issues that had to be resolved before formal approval could be given. Work to start putting in footpaths and build the new visitor centre should start later this summer, and it is anticipated that it will take about 15 months for the work to be completed. Until then, the site will remain closed, but it is hoped the reservoirs will be open to the public again early in 2023.
