RAG is delighted to report that Lisvane Bridge Club held its usual Bridge Drive as part of the Festival in June, raising just over £400 for the benefit of the community locally. The Club decided to donate £100 to the LCA for general purposes and a further £150 to the Old School Restoration Fund. And we are very honoured to report that the Bridge Club also donated £150 to our Fighting Fund. The picture shows the presentation of the cheque to Andrew Hill, the Chairman of RAG. The ultimate aim of RAG is to get the Reservoirs and the surrounding land turned into a Country Park for the benefit of all the people of Cardiff together with the return of the Sailing Centre, Training School and the Fishing Club to their rightful home.
The Bridge Club are holding a Bridge Drive for RAG at the Memorial Hall on Thursday 22 September 2011 at 2pm to raise more vital funds for the fighting fund.
